At Starfish Lane kids observation is a fundamental tool for teaching because it supports awareness of the growth and needs of the whole child's development, skills, interests, strengths and play. Observations are crucial for our teachers, parents and children as they focus on the whole child as an individual. As you know every child is unique and develops at their own pace.Observations are an essential part of our practice that supports our teachers to understand the individual needs of each child in their care. Our teachers are always documenting the children’s learning through play experiences to keep continuously learning about the children. During observations we ensure our teachers are present and connect with the child as we believe by observing children it enables us to learn about and enjoy the unique qualities of each individual child.
